As the airline industry emerges from the global downturn, L3Harris is showing its commitment to aspiring pilots by launching the Pilot Pathways Aviation Industry Recovery (AIR) Scholarship.

What training programme is the Scholarship applied to?

The Pilot Pathways AIR Scholarship is applied to Integrated ATPL training in the UK. At L3Harris we offer Integrated ATPL programmes regulated by UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) or European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).

If you decide to train for an Integrated ATPL regulated by CAA your training will be tailored to regulations of this authority and on successful completion you will be issued with a CAA frozen ATPL, meaning you can apply for jobs with UK registered airlines such as easyJet and British Airways.

If you choose and EASA Integrated ATPL you will graduate with an EASA licence and be eligible to apply for jobs with airlines registered in Europe, such as easyJet, Ryanair, TAP Air Portugal.

An Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) is the minimum licence needed in the UK and Europe to fly commercial passenger (or cargo) jets. At L3Harris Airline Academy we take aspiring pilots with little or no flying experience and train them to become commercial pilots.
