From student to Boeing 737 First Officer

Students and Flight Instructors at L3Harris can now benefit from our relationship with Avelo Airlines! Successful completion of this pathway program takes you directly from student, to Instructor at L3Harris, to First Officer with Avelo!

Headquartered in Houston, Texas, Avelo Airlines operate a fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft across more than 30 destinations in the United States.

Avelo First Officers earn $105 per hour in their first year with Captains earning up to $259 per hour.

How the Avelo Direct Program Works

Step 1 - NOW - Enroll at L3Harris

Enroll in the Accelerated Airline Pilot Track. This program includes airline-oriented training that takes you to Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) in as little as 12 months.

Step 2 - Build Your Experience as a CFI

All student pilots completing our AAPT program are guaranteed an interview to become a CFI with L3Harris, so you can earn money while building flight hours.

Step 3 - Interview

When you have achieved between 1,000 and 1,200 hours total flight time, our team will work with Avelo to recommend eligible Instructors for interview!

Step 4 - Transition

When you reach our 1,500 hours of flight time, complete your ATP CTP course and Jet Transition Program.

Step 5 - Career

Start your career as a First Officer for Avelo Airlines!
