What criteria do I need to meet to apply for commercial pilot training?

Many of our airline pilot training programs & courses require little or no previous flying experience or pilot qualifications! However, there are criteria you’ll need to meet to be eligible, these are broken down by:
- Age
- Education
- Medical
- Criminal Record Check
- Visa
No matter your background, you can pursue your aspirations of becoming a pilot with L3Harris.
For example, to apply for our airline pilot training programs & courses you will need to be at least 17 years and 6 months old, a US citizen or carry a valid international passport to apply as an international student. All airline pilot training applicants will also need to obtain an FAA Medical Certificate and be covered by medical insurance for the duration of their training.
