Step 1 - Enroll at L3Harris
The first step in your journey to becoming an airline pilot is to enroll in our Edge: Commercial Pilot Certificate program.
Step 2 - Build your experience
Those that complete our Edge: Commercial Pilot Certificate program can then enroll on our Elite program, where you will earn your Certified Flight Instructor Instrument Rating (CFI-I). These certifications will help you reach your 1,500-hours!
Step 3 - Apply to the SkyWest Pilot Pathway Program
If your application is accepted, you will begin to receive the SkyWest Pilot Pathway Program benefits! Being accepted means you will have a direct path to the flight deck!
Step 4 - Become an airline pilot
After reaching the FAA mandated 1500 hours of flight time, you will be eligible to earn your Airline Transport Pilot Certificate. Upon completion of your ATP and SkyWest training, you will officially be an airline pilot!
Step 5 - Fly at Delta, United, or Alaska
SkyWest captains can join the Guaranteed Pilot Interview Program to secure an interview with United, Delta, or Alaska Airlines in as little as 24 months!
