Elite: CFI / CFII Certificate
The Elite program provides you with the Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) training to be hired as a Flight Instructor.
Additionally, you will earn your Certified Flight Instructor Instrument Rating (CFI-I), allowing you to teach Private, Instrument, and Commercial Single, which is preferred in our hiring process. These certifications will help you reach the 1,500-hour requirement for a First Officer position even faster!

Elite Program Highlights
With the Elite program, Commercial Pilot Certificate holders complete the CFI training required to teach other aspiring pilots:
- Ground School with in-person instruction
- Expert flight training with experienced Instructors
- Experienced PhD and Masters-level educators providing mentoring, training tips, guidance and support
- The CFI course has self-examining authority, which means your certificate-issuing Check Ride is conducted by an in-house Check Airman
- Free back seating of any flights, ground briefs and simulator events
- Supervised teaching internships in our Learning Resource Center
- A $7,000 deposit is all that is needed to get you started in your training
- Installment plans allow you to break up payments as you complete your program certifications

- CFI Certificate - $15,600 (includes 28 flight hours)
- CFII Certificate - $10,600 (includes 20 flight hours)
- Performance Pack with all the supplies needed to complete your training (this is not required if you have completed our Edge program) - $2,500

What Comes After the Elite Program?
After completing the Elite program you are guaranteed an interview to become a CFI at our Flight Academy. If successful you’ll start training the next generation while building flight hours and earning money as a CFI.

- Earn a salary as a CFI for the Academy and build up your mandated 1,500 flight hours (that's around $400,000 worth of flight hours)
- Meet hiring airlines that regularly visit our school in Sanford, Florida

Admission Requirements
To enroll in the Elite program you must meet the following requirements:
- At least 18 years old
- Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English
- As we're a Part 141 school, you'll just need to hold a valid commercial pilot certificate or airline transport certificate administered by the FAA
- Hold an FAA medical certificate
